The big story on ET Now India Tonight is of course the change of guard at Reliance Jio. Yes, you heard it right, Mukesh Ambani has stepped down as the Director. His son Akash Ambani will now be taking over as chairman of the board. At the Ambani Family Day function last year in December, the tycoon had in fact teased just this moment. That was the first time Ambani spoke about his succession plans. He said, "Reliance is now in the process of effecting a momentous LEADERSHIP TRANSITION. From SENIORS belonging to my generation to the next generation of YOUNG LEADERS. I would like this process to be accelerated."
