Indian singer Shaan, who is set to host Mika Singh's Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti, has opened up about how relationships and marriages with age-gaps work. The singer has also talked about why age is not an issue anymore.
Shaan opens up about relationships with age gaps
Singer Shaan is all set to return to hosting after a gap of 14 years. The reason behind the comeback is his friend Mika Singh, who has decided to find his life partner on a reality-based television show Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti.
Shaan, who couldn't be more excited to take on his role as a host and as a guide to Mika, shares an age gap of 6 years with his wife, Radhika. Notably, the contestants on Swayamvar also share an age gap with Mika, who is now 45.
Asked Shaan how relationships and marriages with age-gaps work, the Tanha Dil singer said that women are usually more mature.
"I think women are more mature while men take their time to grow. So unless it's too much, it's all right," he said.
The singer added that today, even those in their 40s and 50s are taking care of their health, and looking and feeling their best. "Look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, of course it didn't work out for them... But you know, look at Malaika and Arjun, today age is not an issue anymore. It's not because you can stay fit and look and be fit, but because you can feel young. And feeling young is very important," said the singer.
Shaan also shared that Mika had called him and convinced him to host his swayamvar. While Shaan was a little unsure about returning to hosting at first, it was what Mika told him that convinced him. "He told me that he wanted someone he trusts and someone who would work from the heart. He requested me to be the host of his swayamvar and I was more than happy to oblige,” the singer had revealed in the launch press conference of the show.
Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti will air on Star Bharat from June 19.
