Kerala Gold Smuggling Case | BJP Asks 'What's There To Hide?' | News Hour

In this episode of News Hour Pranesh Kumar Roy will be discussing about the ED's plea to transfer the gold smuggling scandal to Bangalore. The state government says that the allegations raised will have an adverse affect on the governance of the state. The agency has said that the free and fair trial of the case is not possible in Kerala due to close connections between the accused and the top officials. Sanju Verma, National Spokesperson of BJP. says "ED's reason for shifting the case outside the state needs to be looked at. If one looks at the accused, when the kith & kin of the CMO are involved, it is natural for the ED to call for a transfer of the case" she further added "Why was Swapna Suresh, a key witness in the case, backed by CM Vijayan till she turned hostile?"
