On the red carpet of the Wolf777news Filmfare Awards 2022, Malaika was quizzed about if she is ready to handle the jokes cracked at her by hosts Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and as always, the diva gave a queen-like reply.

“I am always prepared,” quipped Malaika, while adding that she wasn’t given any sort of warning by her beau Arjun. “But I am always prepared, I always think 5 steps ahead,” she further said during an exclusive conversation with Zoom TV.

Meanwhile, Malaika also expressed her excitement over awards functions taking place once again after a long gap. She said, “Well, it's always fun to see everybody perform and it's just nice to be back on the red carpet at an awards function, which had taken such a huge sabbatical. It just feels nice that everybody is under one roof.”

Taking about who she is rooting for to win an award, the 48-year-old actress said, “I actually loved Kriti (Sanon) in Mimi. I really loved her in that so yeah I am rooting for her.”

Coming to Arjun, when he was told about his ladylove’s response to handling his jokes, he said, “She looks like she is always ready and I think she has taken all the jokes in her stride. And that’s the charm, you know that if you are gonna say a few lines, there’s always gonna be a nice reaction.”
