With two wins in two matches, Ireland take on Afghanistan hoping to seal the fate of the series by winning the 3rd T20I in Belfast on Friday. Batting first, Afghanistan were bundled out for just 122 runs, with Hashmatullah Shahidi being the top-scoring batter at 36.
Chasing the meager target, Ireland looked at ease for the most part of the chase, with skipper Andrew Balbirnie scoring 46 off 36. Lorcan Tucker and George Kockrell also contributed with cameos as Ireland reached the target with 1 over to spare.
For the second match in a row, Afghanistan's premier spinner Rashid Khan remained wicket-less while Mujeeb ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi couldn't do much with the ball either.
Afghanistan has plenty of work to do if they are to beat Ireland in the 3rd T20I and prevent a series defeat.
