In what comes as rather upsetting news for all the LE SSERAFIM fans, it was shared that member Eunchae had tested positive for Covid-19. The news came out some time ago when the band’s agency shared the details via a notice.
Their company, Source Music announced Eunchae’s diagnosis in a statement and also gave an update on her health. “Hello. This is Source Music. We would like to provide you with some information on LE SSERAFIM member Hong Eunchae’s Covid-19 confirmation and her activities,” stated the notice.
“Hong Eunchae underwent a rapid antigen test on Sunday, October 2 after experiencing cold symptoms and was diagnosed with Covid-19,” it further added.
As for the rest of the group, no other member is experiencing any symptoms. Just to be sure, they took the tests as well which fortunately came back, negative.
Furthermore, the notice stated, “None of the LE SSERAFIM members other than Hong Eunchae are presenting any symptoms, and everyone received negative results from a rapid antigen test they took as a preemptive measure on Monday, October 3.”
Due to Eunchae’s diagnosis, she will have to be absent from the group’s upcoming schedules including from their appearance at the award show on Oct 8. The other members will carry out the activities accordingly.
“Planned schedule of LE SSERAFIM will be carried out without any changes. Hong Eunchae will not be participating in the 2022 The Fact Music Awards on Saturday, October 8 and only the other four members will be participating,” shared the statement.
“The company places the artists’ health as our top priority and we will do everything we can to aid Hong Eunchae in her speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities,” it ended.
