Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli paid a rich tribute to legendary pacer Jhulan Goswami as she bid adieu to the sport during the third ODI between the India and England's women cricket team at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground on Saturday. Jhulan played for the national team for over two decades.

Indian cricket royalty Virat Kohli reserved rich praise for legendary pacer Jhulan Goswami as the 39-year-old bids adieu to international cricket. The third ODI between India and England women's cricket teams at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground is Jhulan's last for the national team in any format.
Jhulan is among the greatest cricketers to have played the sport and has played a key role in the growth of the Indian women's cricket team. She made her debut for the national team in 2002 and played at the highest level for over two decades. In this period she played a total of 254 WODIs, 68 WT20Is, and 12 Test matches and created a plethora of records across formats.
Kohli hailed Jhulan for inspiring many women to pick up the sport and pointed out her grit and aggression as something that always stood out. "A great servant of Indian cricket. Congratulations on an outstanding career, inspiring so many women to take up the sport. Your grit and aggression always stood out. I wish you the very best," wrote Kohli in a tweet.
It is worth noting that Kohli's wife and famous Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is playing Jhulan's role in her upcoming biopic 'Chakda Express' which is slated to release soon on Netflix. Earlier in the day, Anushka also wrote a heartfelt post congratulating the legendary cricket for her incredible career.
"An inspiration. A role-model. A legend. Your name will be etched in history forever. Thank you @jhulangoswami, for being a game changer in Indian Women’s Cricket," wrote Anushka on Instagram.
The Lord's ODI has proved to be an emotional outing for Jhulan as she was provided a special memento by the Indian team after which captain Harmanpreet Kaur broke down in tears. In a special gesture, Harmanpreet allowed Jhulan to conduct the toss. The England team gave her a special guard of honour when she walked out to bat.
