You can love and want someone with every ounce of your blood but dating rarely, if ever, comes easy to even those who have their lives figured out. However, it got all the more complicated for a couple who recently found out their mothers had a relationship with the same man.
TikToker pair Carley and Mercedes (@carleyandmercedes), who have been “happily dating” for two years now, revealed in a video that they might be half-sisters after finding out they might share the same father.
“When you find out two years into dating that your moms both slept with the same guy,” read the overlaid text in a video that the couple, who also have an OnlyFans account, posted on TikTok reportedly announcing the unsettling news.
They asked their followers, about 5.6 lakh of them, if they should “even risk getting a DNA test” to verify their ancestry.
Several thousands of users chimed in, pointing out that Carley and Mercedes having the same father explains their uncanny resemblance as most believed they should in fact get a DNA test done.
Sharing an observation on the similar lines, one user wrote: “I have no idea who you guys are and I immediately thought you were sisters before reading the text,”
“I think the real risk would be NOT getting the DNA test,” wisecracked another.
The girlfriends and half sisters also asked their followers in a comment whether it would be wrong if they continued to stay together even after finding out they are related, leaving the internet divided over the morality of such an unusual situation.
However, in what has now reportedly been a series of videos about the possibility that it could be a case of inadvertent incest, the “siblings” have clapped back at the notion that they like the idea of being related.
“We love that we found out we might be half sisters after dating for 2 years,” they wrote in another video.
