Parents dye waterfall blue for gender reveal in Brazil, see how netizens reacted to it

A couple from Brazil threw a gender reveal party, but it all went wrong when they decided to disclose the gender of their child by dyeing a waterfall blue. The couple was heavily criticised on social media and netizens demanded their punishment. Many wanted them to be charged for messing with the environment.

Lavish gender reveal parties are a common sight and videos of such celebrations are plenty on YouTube and other social platforms. One couple from Brazil went the extra mile to make their gender reveal celebrations grant. However, it not was apprecaited by people online for obvious reasons.
Reportedly, the couple dyed a waterfall blue and contaminated the waterbody for the gender reveal. The video of the celebration went viral and the couple was slammed by netizens for their action. Environmental activist Vane Costa took to Twitter to share the video of the controversial gender reveal. "Seriously, they thought it was a good idea to put dye in a waterfall?! So many ways to make a revelation tea and they managed to choose just one with an environmental impact," wrote Costa along with the clip.
In the video, the waterfall can be seen with a vibrant blue colour due to the dye used. Additionally, blue smoke from party smoke bombs can also be seen. The clip was viewed more than 3 million times. It agitated many and netizens demanded their punishment.
"Jail. 10 years is about right," wrote one furious user. Another user wrote, "This is insane. Yes, someone has been charged. Brazil." A third person commented, "Gender reveal…absurd. Wasting water in area that has a water problem…a crime Let’s hope that their son will have a long life in clean environment with sufficient water."
Meanwhile, some stated that they did not really understand the concept of gender reveal parties. One stated, "I will never understand why people throw parties for a gender reveal."
