Pakistan Politics | Shehbaz Sharif Set To Be The Next Leader Of The House | World News

Shehbaz Sharif was propped up as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan by the joint coalition in the parliament. He is now set to take oath as the PM when the Assembly Session officially convenes and the parliamentary members unanimously vote for him. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), however, has decided to boycott the vote, as well as resign from the assembly. Speculations point the move to be in protest of Imran Khan's unceremonious exit and the International Ban put on his former ministerial cabinet. Imran Khan was ousted after a no-confidence vote in the Pakistan National Assembly, on Saturday, after weeks of news and speculation about the military and the opposition withdrawing their support from PTI and Khan. #ShehbazSharif #ImranKhan #Pakistan
