Liverpool haven't had the best of start in the Premier League this season. They started off their campaign with a disappointing 2-2 draw to newly promoted side Fulham. In their second game, they faced another draw from Crystal Palace, and this time what even hurt Liverpool more was the sending off of new signing Darwin Nunez.
However, the biggest blow that Liverpool were dealt wit when last Gameweek when they were handed a 2-1 defeat by their arch rivals Manchester United, and the worse thing was that they were completely outplayed. Hence, Liverpool are now 16th in the table with just 2 points from 3 games, and this has been their worst start to a Premier League season in the Jurgen Klopp era.
They now take on Bournemouth at home, as they aim to get their first win of the campaign an kickstart their season. Liverpool have been riddled with injuries as Thiago, Naby Keita and Joel Matip the most prominent names missing. Star striker Darwin Nunez will also miss the game as he is currently serving a three-match ban due to a red card he recieved vs Crystal Palace.
On the other hand, the newly promoted side Bournemouth had a promising start to their Premier League campaign this season as they defeated Aston Villa by 2-0. However they were handed two back to back defeats at the hands of Manchester City and Arsenal. They will also look to take advantage over a Liverpool side that are low on confidence.
