Mumbai is preparing for two significant Dussehra rallies today by competing Shiv Sena groups. The Uddhav Thackeray-led faction now has control of Shivaji Park, and Milind Narvekar, who is working on his behalf, is in charge of making plans. In conjunction with the build-up, supporters of CM Eknath Shinde have set up camp at the MMRDA grounds in BKC to make preparations. Though it was rumoured that BJP officials might attend Shinde's gathering, his spokesman made it clear that they wouldn't be. The event is definitely positioning Shinde as the keynote speaker.
