London: Pakistan Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb was heckled by overseas Pakistanis in London. Several videos of the incident went viral on social media, which showed certain individuals, believed to be Pakistani nationals, chanting 'chorni, chorni' as she entered a cafe in London. Some even followed the minister to the streets shouting 'chorni, chorni (thief, thief)' and slamming her for 'looting public money to enjoy in London'.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, ignored the miscreants and was busy on her mobile phone. According to a report in Dawn, Aurangzeb was heckled by former Pak PM Imran Khan's supporters. In a video shared by Pakistani journalist Syed Talat Hussain, Aurangzeb said that she was "sad to see the toxic impact [PTI Chairman] Imran Khan's politics of hate and divisiveness have had on our brothers and sisters."

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail backed the minister for maintaining 'grace and composure' despite the harassment. "I salute my sister @Marriyum_A for her grace and composure in the face of such harassment and baseless lies from that uncouth woman (who can be heard but thankfully cannot be seen)," he said.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that giving 'this' colour to political indifferences was 'the height of intolerance'. "Giving this colour to political differences is a sign of bad training and a trend that is the height of intolerance. The violent trend in politics after Madhhab will destroy our society," he said. "Truly a lioness!" said Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, who hailed the information minister for 'boldly facing the crowd'.
