IT giants such as Wipro, Infosys and Tech Mahindra have recently made it into the headlines once again. This time, the tech giants have made the news for revoking offer letter of various freshers after a delay of three to six months onboarding them.
As per the report by Businessline, the offer letters of these candidates has been recalled under the disguise that they do not meet the eligibility criteria or have not completed the compliance requirements.
One of the major reasons why this has made it to the headlines is that the companies have not offered any clarification regarding the cancelled hirings.

Infosys

An engineering graduate from Bhopal received a rejection mail from the tech giant - Infosys around September 28, 2022, which was six months after they received the offer letter. As per the mail sent to them, Infosys cancelled the hiring stating that they did not meet the academic qualification required for the job.
Rebutting this, they told Businessline that they cleared the academic qualification required, in fact, were above the minimum required marks. Despite this, Infosys rejected the candidate.

Wipro

A Computer Science graduate from Vijayanagar was rejected by Wipro, 4 months after receiving the offer letter. As per the rejection mail, the candidates were told that they have not complied with Wipro's assessment guidelines and hence have been rejected.
Speaking to Businessline, the candidate stated they completed all the documents and met the criteria required for the job. Despite that, they were rejected.

Tech Mahindra

Another candidate was rejected by Tech Mahindra, three months after they received the offer letter. The candidate was rejected on the grounds of non-clearance of a certification test.
As part of the hiring process, candidates are required to complete 12 courses. The candidate concerned had cleared all the courses and received completion certificates as well, but despite that, they were rejected.
Regarding the recent cancelled hirings, Wipro issued a statement in which it said it would honour all offer letters that have been made to the deserving candidates in a phased manner. Infosys and Tech Mahindra are yet to comment on the issue.
