Ghaziabad: On Thursday afternoon, a nasty brawl allegedly broke out over a change in the security agency in Ghaziabad's Mahagun Mosaic society. The dispute allegedly started after the previous RWA, who was elected in 2018, questioned the legitimacy of the present RWA, according to residents of the society, which is close to Crossings Republik, Indian Express reported.
According to the video of the altercation, two groups were involved, each armed with belts and lathis. Security personnel in uniform appeared to be part of one group.
An RWA member said: "Following allegations of election irregularities, the previous RWA threatened to have the security agency replaced. Residents arrived today, and there was a fight."
According to a report by The Indian Express, another RWA member claimed, "There are problems in the new RWA as some members ran for office without paying their maintenance dues."
Kotwali Nagar Circle Officer Anshu Jain stated, "Police have detained three people and they are trying to identify others. There will be additional legal action."
The three, according to the police, were not members of the security agency's staff or members of society.
