According to police, the body of a Haryanvi singer who had been missing for about two weeks was discovered in Bhaini Bhairon village. Initial investigations suggested that the victim was strangulated to death.

As per reports, since May 11, the singer was missing. The police in Rohtak's Meham district stated they got information about a body that was found in the Bhaini Bhairon village the previous evening. Initial investigations suggested that the victim was strangulated to death.
Sub Inspector Vikas, Meham police told news agency ANI, "We received a mutilated body last evening near Bhaini Bhairon village; it couldn't be identified... later, we found that an FIR u/s 365 IPC was filed in the matter at Jaffarpur PS, Delhi. Body identified to be of a Sangeeta (Haryanvi singer)."
The corpse was recognised as that of the singer when the police sent it for post-mortem. In this case, one of the accused has been apprehended.
Police also said, "Sangeeta was missing since May 11. Delhi Police has arrested accused Anil, who's on a 5-day remand. After post mortem, the case will be transferred to Delhi Police. Prima facie, the cause of death seems to be strangulation."
According to Delhi Police, they have apprehended two accused from Meham, Haryana. The accused have confessed to hatching a plot to assassinate Sangeeta, Delhi police said. They had contacted her under the guise of filming a music video, Delhi police added. The corpse is being kept at the PGI in Rohtak, ANI reported.
