  • The clip has sparked a fierce debate online.
It’s about time the world dropped the stereotypical notion that “Asians are good at Math”, because, clearly, some of us are 94 marks short.

A viral video shows a Chinese father breaking down into tears after learning his efforts to teach his child didn’t carry over into the son’s grade sheet.
According to media reports, the distraught man who appears to be crying in the Weibo video, is disappointed because despite tutoring his son for a year, he could only score 6/100 on a Maths exam.
In the viral clip, shared by Qilu Evening News on the Chinese social network, the overwhelmed father is seen fighting back tears but eventually breaks down.
He wipes his tears off on the sleeve of his t-shirt and when that proves inadequate, he grabs a towel.
“I don’t care anymore; my efforts are wasted,” the man says about the 6/100 result. “Let him struggle by himself,” he said, all while the kid’s Mom films and chuckles behind the camera.
The video has sparked chatter online about the incident as many divided opinions appeared.
Many empathised with the kid for crumbling under the pressure from his Dad while some even felt sorry for the father himself.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the kid has a learning disability or the father himself wasn’t a good mentor.
