Rupali Ganguly has been winning hearts with her impressive performance in Anupamaa. At a time when several shows have faced the axe within a few months, Anupamaa has been dominating the TRP charts since the past two years. The Bengali beauty, who is seen in a titular role in the hit daily soap, has earned a significant fan following.
Just like reel-life, Rupali Ganguly is a doting mother to her son Rudransh. While we have seen her character showering love on Paritosh, Samar and Pakhi in Anupamaa, the actress always manages to spend quality time with her son despite her busy schedule.
The Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress, who took a break from work post Rudransh's birth, spoke about her pregnancy struggles in an interview last year. She took a trip down the memory lane, revealing that it was difficult for her to become pregnant due to health issues.
The popular TV bahu had shared that she had major thyroid issues, which affected her fertility. She had told Siddharth Kannan, "There were issues and I consulted several doctors. My son is no less than a miracle for me."
When asked about taking a break from work, the Sanjivani star had said that she always wanted to marry and get settled. "I was finally getting to be a mom and that too after many issues. Having a baby was difficult. Hence, I decided to focus on my personal life for a while," she had said.
Rupali Ganguly tied the knot with Ashwin K Verma in 2013 in the presence of only family members. They welcomed their son in August 2015 after two years of marriage. The actress has credited her husband for providing rock solid support when she decided to make a return to the TV screens with Anupamaa.
Talking about her show Anupamaa, it is the Hindi remake of Bengali drama Sreemoyee. Rupali is paired opposite Gaurav Khanna in the daily soap.
