The evergreen beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a comeback to the big screens with Mani Ratnam’s latest release Ponniyin Selvan 1. The movie was released in the theatres on September 30, 2022, and Aishwarya is hailed for her performance in the movie.

Recently, the Ponniyin Selvan actress took to her Instagram and shared some adorable pictures with Mani Ratnam on her Instagram. She could be seen wearing a gorgeous royal blue outfit as she poses with the director of PS-1.

Aishwarya has often been spotted thanking Mani Ratnam on several occasions. A few days back, during one of the promotional activities of Ponniyin Selvan 1, Aishwarya revealed that the entire cast has been fortunate to be part of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus.

According to a report of IANS, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress told, “I have always been fortunate to be part of larger-than-life projects, but what makes this special is that it is Mani sir's film. This movie is a labour of love and the guru is Mani Sir. It is such an enticing, intriguing and exciting film. How fortunate we are that we are a part of this magnum opus.”

She added, “Magic happens when we are in it together. What a great team. From the cast to the camera persons, to everyone else, all have contributed to the making of this film. Thank you so much, Mani sir for making me a part of this film.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her debut in acting with Mani Ratnam’s 1997 Tamil movie Iruvar. She has since then worked with Mani in films like Guru and Raavan, other than Ponniyin Selvan 1.
