In fact, Chelsea had a pretty average start to the season, as they stand sixth in the league table after three wins and 1 draw in their six games. They shockingly los their games to Leeds United and Southampton. In fact, it was surprising that Tuchel lost his job so early in the season, after bringing in the players of his choice at Chelsea this window.

With many managers on the shortlist to replace the German at the East London club, here are the three candidates who are most likely to land the Chelsea job.
3) Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zindane was one of the greatest football players of all time. However, when he turned his hands to management, he struck gold once again.
With Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane became one of the most successful tacticians in the club's history. He won two La Ligas. But his crowning achievement remains winning the UEFA Champions league trophy three times in a row from 206 to 2018. In fact, he remains the second most successful manager in the Champions League after Carlo Ancelotti.
Chelsea are in dire need of trophies, and Zidane brings that winning pedigree in their managerial ranks. Hence he would be a great fit, now that he is available on the market.
2) Mauricio Pochettino
Mauricio Pochettino has done wonders with struggling and not so famous teams in his career. He took a struggling Espnayol side who were relegation contenders and converted them into a mid table club. In the Premier League, he took a lowly Southampton team and made them finish 6th and 8th in his two seasons there.
He had the most memorable run with Tottenham Hotspur, where he made them finish second in the 2016/17 season and guided them into the 2018 Champions League final. With Premier League experience under his belt, and a habit of getting the best out of his players who are low on confidence, seems to be the perfect fit for Chelsea at this moment of time.
1) Graham Potter
The man who is leading the race to replace Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea manager is Graham Potter. Potter is considered one of the most talented English managers of the current generation. Under his tutelage, he has transformed Brighton and Hove Albion from relegation contenders to perennial challengers to finish in the top half of the Premier League table.
In fact, Brighton had the best start to their season in Premier League history, as they now stand fourth in the table after Gameweek 6 of the 2022/23 season inspite of losing two of their mainstays in Marc Cucurella and Yves Bissouma. At Brighton, Potter plays an attractive attacking brand of football that is both effective and pleasing to the eye. The club have also bought relatively unknown quantities and Potter has transformed them into world beaters. In fact, many pundits believe that Potter indeed should now make the jump to a bigger club who look to win silverware.
So, if Chelsea need to build an identity and form a long term project of succeeding under new owner Todd Boehly. Graham Potter is the man to lead the club into glory.
