Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of 2022. The film is being touted to turn the tide for an ailing Bollywood afflicted with a series of flops at the box office. Amidst all this, reports state that the Ayan Mukerji directorial is getting the widest release for a Hindi film.
The film recently commenced advance bookings and as per reports is already doing stellar business at the box office in pre-release sales. As per reports, the film has a huge momentum at the moment and even places like Jaipur, Patna and Indore are showing excellent response.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, during Brahmastra promotions in Hyderabad, K Madhavan, the Country Manager and President Disney Star revealed, "Brahmastra is not an Indian film. It will be travelling across the world. We are going to release it in almost 8000 screens - 5000 in India and 3000 worldwide. I think it is happening for the first time."

Meanwhile, a trade experts confirmed to the news outlet that Brahmastra will indeed be having the widest release ever for a Hindi film. The film comes at a time when the theatres are starved for content and there also tremendous excitement.
Earlier, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted that the advance booking status of Brahmastra has finally shown some relief for the industry, tweeting, "'BRAHMĀSTRA': ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS... Finally, some relief for the industry... Received #Brahmāstra *day-wise data* [advance booking] of *a leading multiplex chain*... Observations... Tickets sold: 11,558 [veryyy positive start, since advance opened at select locations only]."
Meanwhile, in an interaction with ETimes, exhibitor and distributor Raj Bansal sounded optimistic about the Karan Johar-backed film taking the biggest opening of 2022 for a Hindi film. "Brahmastra will open between 20 to 22 crores and as of now the advance booking has been very encouraging for us,” he said.
