TV actress Eisha Singh, who shot to fame with her performance in the Colors TV show, Sirf Tum, has recently made her Bollywood debut opposite Prit Kamani in the film, Middle Class Love. Many people don’t know that she got her first break in TV very easily, as she auditioned for the show Ishq Ka Rang Safed for the first time and cracked it.
Later, she acted in shows such as Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Ishq Subhan Allah and so on. Unlike her TV journey, Eisha Singh had to face a lot of challenges to get her first break into Bollywood. She auditioned for many films including Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. Isn’t it surprising?
Well, in an interview with Hindustan Times, the Middle Class Love actress Eisha Singh told the portal that she had auditioned for the lead actress, which is played by Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film. She said, “Laal Singh Chaddha, do you know that?” Singh quips. She further adds, “They were searching for a newcomer initially and I auditioned for it. Somebody told me that Aamir Khan really liked my audition. Though it did not work, I met him for another project.”
She further revealed that she did three scenes of the film and thoroughly enjoyed the process. Eisha Singh thinks that she was nice but maybe not good. Later, she got happy when she got to know about Kareena Kapoor Khan’s casting in Laal Singh Chaddha.
Eisha said, “It (the movie) did not work out, which is fine. Later on I got to know that Kareena Kapoor ma’am is doing it, so I was fine. I don’t care if 50 more people auditioned for it. The fact that I auditioned for it, and they considered me, thought I was eligible to be a part of a big film like Laal Singh Chaddha and be paired opposite Aamir Khan was a big thing for me.”
Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, the Advait Chandan directorial bombed at the box office. The film also starred Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh and others in key roles. Coming back to Eisha Singh, her debut film Middle Class Love is directed by Ratnaa Sinha and it also stars Kavya Thapar.
