South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Goodbye alongside veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta! Working with a cast that includes well-known names from Hindi cinema, the Pushpa fame actress revealed why she decided to make her Bollywood debut with Goodbye.
In her words, it was different from anything she had ever seen before, and she regarded it as beyond compare. While talking about her love for the script, Rashmika also talked about her personal grieving process.
Just like her on-screen character Tara, the actress shows little emotion after a close friend or family member passes away. As she explained her personal process, Rashmika told Zoom TV, People deal with grief in different ways. Like I said, personally I don't cry at deaths, like someone extremely close to me, I can't cry in their deaths.”
Further elaborating her emotions via a personal story, the actress expressed, I felt angry. I was like why did you go so fast? Like there's so much in life to see, why did you go so fast? So, I was angry and there was no tears shedding and everything. Even till date I feel anger that my grandmom is not there anymore because she was the one who's done everything, who's literally brought me up!”
Rashmika did mention, however, that things might change in the future. I don't know if something might change. I might break down. I might take it very differently in someone else's death,” she said, adding “It's just too painful to feel anything you know so some people just block things out and I'm that person.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Rashmika is currently working on another Bollywood movie called Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Additionally, she’ll be making her return in Pushpa 2: The Rule.
