Vijay Deverakonda is busy promoting his upcoming flick Liger. The film, which sees him paired opposite Ananya Panday comes at a time when a slew of Bollywood flicks have been facing rejection at the box office. Two of 2022's biggest releases Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan too have faced the flak at ticket windows. Now, Vijay has reacted to people boycotting Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.
During an interaction with a news portal, the south superstar said that on a film set, apart from the actor and director, there are many others who are involved. At any given time 200-300 actors are working on a film, including staff members. Vijay pointed out that films give employment to many people and is a source of livelihood for hundreds.
Elaborating further the actor added that when Aamir Khan makes a Laal Singh Chaddha, while his name is the one that stars in the film, there are 2000 to 3000 people involved in the entire process.

"When you decide to boycott a film, you are not only affecting Aamir Khan, you are affecting thousands of families who lose work and livelihoods," Vijay told India Today.
The actor also said, "Aamir Sir is someone who pulls the crowd to the theatres. I am not sure why this boycott call is happening, but for whatever misunderstanding this is happening, please realize you are not affecting Aamir Khan alone but the economy. It is a much bigger picture."
The actor urged people to look at the bigger picture and not let trends affect then economy.
For the unversed, the #BoycottLSC trend started after a section of netizens dug out Aamir’s 2015 interview, where he said that his then wife Kiran Rao had suggested they move countries because of growing intolerance in India.
Liger, which also has Ramka Krishnan and a cameo by Mike Tyson, releases on August 25.
