With Paatal Lok, Jaideep Ahlawat managed to create a name for himself and also, a place in the heart of his fans. The actor has truly managed to carve a niche for himself and from where fans look at it, there's no going back for him. He recently spoke to Times Now Digital about what he feels about the recognition that has come his way because of OTT.
While he was most recently seen in Zee5 show The Broken News, he has been working on a Netflix film which will co-star Kareena Kapoor and Vijay Raaz. Before the show, he was a part of another web series titled Bloody Brothers.
We also asked him about whether it could be right to say that he is the mainstream hero on OTT. However, as humble as he has always been, the actor tells us, "Honestly, I don't think like that, but definitely, you have this satisfaction that your work has gotten acknowledgement in a way and the work that you've been doing and the honesty with which you were doing that work, it has reached people."
He added, "It is like any other thing, when a student works hard and he gets good marks, you feel content. There were efforts and hence, one knows that okay, this happens. But yes, there's also responsibility that when you do something new, you have to do it better, and do it with honesty and that's something that has always remained, and will always be."
Further, ask him if he ever feels that OTT should have happened at an earlier time to him, and he believes there is no point in thinking what he could have done before. He says that he has gotten so much love on OTT, and the pandemic gave content a push in a way, that maybe, it was bound to happen this way.
