Tata to set up EV charging points across JP Infra's residential projects in Mumbai

Tata Power and JP Infra Mumbai have joined forced for the installation of over 60 electric vehicle charging points across all JP Infra's projects in Mumbai. The company said all the residents with electric vehicles will get access to a 24x7 EV charging facility by Tata Power. Tata Power EZ mobile application will have to be used to facilitate charging.

Tata Power and JP Infra Mumbai have joined forced for the installation of over 60 electric vehicle charging points across all JP Infra's projects in Mumbai. The company said all the residents with electric vehicles will get access to a 24x7 charging facility by Tata Power. The residents will be able to make use of the charging facility by connecting through the Tata Power EZ mobile application. This will enable the users to make e-payments as well as monitor the vehicle charging remotely. The company says this will provide continues EV charging access to the residents, thus boosting EV charging infra in the city.
JP Infra's North Garden City (North Euphoria, North Alexa, North Aviva, Codename Dream Home), North Barcelona, and North Imperia, will receive the said 60+ charging stations. "With a desire to embrace change, induce innovation and support the EV revolution, the collaboration with Tata Power will facilitate and strengthen India’s robust EV ecosystem. This initiative will allow us to further improve the quality of the lives of our residents in a smart and sustainable manner by reducing carbon emissions and accelerating e-mobility adoption across our projects," said Shubham Jain, Managing Director, JP Infra Mumbai Private Limited.
Moreover, in the past, Tata Power has also collaborated with the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) of Maharashtra in a bid to come up with close to 5,000 charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) in Maharashtra, with 150 charging stations in Mumbai alone. In entire country, Tata Power has deployed over 2,350 public and semi-public charging points along with 18,500+ private home chargers and more than 240 electric bus charging points across over 350 cities in the country.
