Adipurush: Dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir spills the beans about Sita haran scene; find out what he revealed

Om Raut’s next directorial venture Adipurush has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Well, fans were very excited to witness the first glimpse of the Prabhas-starrer. A few days ago, the makers unveiled the teaser of Adipurush. They hosted a grand teaser launch event in Ayodhya.

Sadly, after the teaser came out, it received major flak from the audience. Many people criticised Adipurush for its VFX, characters' representation and much more. Amidst all the negative comments, the dialogue writer of Adipurush recently had an exclusive interaction with Times Now, where he opened up about Adipurush and said that the film will give the audience a never-seen-before experience.

While interacting with the news channel, Manoj Muntashir spilt the beans about an iconic ‘Sita Haran’aka Sita’s abduction scene in the film Adipurush. The writer said, “Jab mein Sita haran ka drishya dekh raha tha, tabhi mein pehli baar sita ka haran iss tarah dekha jahan Lankesh yani Ravana maa Sita ko haath bhi nahi lagata. Woh maya se haran karta hai. Humne iske pehle jaha jaha bhi dekha hai, wo chahe Saagar (Ramanand Saagar) ji ki ramayan ho ya ramleela ho. Humne hamsesha dekha hai Ravan ko Sita maa ko ghasitate le jaate hue.”

“Maine jab Om Raut se pucha uss drishya ke baare mein. Maine pucha ki tumne ye kaise visualise kiya ki isme Ravan ke maa Sita ko haath bhi nahi lagaya. Om ne jo khade hoke baat ki hai, mai chahta hoon wo logon tak pahunche. Wo bola, ‘Sir, she is my mother and nobody can touch her’,” Muntashir added.

Manoj Muntashir’s statement explains that when he saw the scene of Sita’s abduction for the first time, he was amazed after seeing Lankesh aka Ravana not touching Sita while kidnapping her. He asked Om Raut about the scene. Manoj asked Om, how he visualise this scene. That is when Om told Muntashir that Sita is my mother and nobody can touch her.

Well, after Manoj Muntashir’s statement, fans would be very much intrigued to witness the scene on the big screen. Let us tell you, Adipurush also stars Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in pivotal roles.

The film will be released on January 12, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
