In view of the inclement weather, both Noida schools and Gurugram schools would remain closed for today for students of Classes 1 to 8. In Haryana, Government’s Disaster Management Authority late last night also released a notice asking offices and corporates in Gurgaon to ask employees to work from home on Friday, as far as possible.

Aligarh administration has also announced holiday for today in wake of the heavy rainfall for all schools.
For schools where term end or half-yearly examinations were underway, the administrations have decided to postpone the examination. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the heavy waterlogging reported from many parts of Delhi NCR. Visuals of a waterlogged Delhi-Gurgaon highway are available.
To avoid traffic snarls, Gurgaon adminsitration’s notice was released. Official advisory states, “Keeping in view heavy downpour on Thursday & forecast of heavy rains on 23 September too, Gurugram District Administration has issued advisory for all corporate companies, private institutions to allow their employees to work from home in larger public interest”.
Meanwhile, rains continue to lash the region. In the last update, India Meteorological Department or IMD has predicted a fresh cloud over Delhi, resulting in continued showers over the next few hours. Spells of moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted in many regions.
While a yellow alert has been issued for many parts of Delhi NCR, everyone is advised to take necessary precautions and stay safe. Students and staff of respective schools must stay in touch with their schools to know more about schools closing and reopening in the wake of heavy rainfall alert.
