'Flogging and mob violence reality of Modi's new India': Asaduddin Owaisi hits out at Center over Kheda violence

Gujarat: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi spoke about the violence in Gujarat's Khedaduring Navratri celebrations and slammed the Central government for the same saying 'every day there is more evidence of mass radicalisation.' "Everyday there is more evidence of mass radicalisation. Floggings and mob violence by cops have become common. Targeted violence against Muslims is treated as 'justice'. This is the reality of Modi's Vishwaguru/New India/5G/$5 Trillion Ton economy," Owaisi wrote in a tweet.
Notably, during Navratri celebrations in Kheda's Undhela village on the night of October 3, six people sustained injuries in stone pelting initiated by a group led by two people named Arif and Zahir.
Later, DSP Nadiad VR Bajpai gave an update on the incident saying a Muslim mob of over 200 people tried to disturb the Garba function in Kheda's Undhela village. Bajpai further informed that stone pelting was reported during the celebration and sarpanch's car was also damaged. He added that a Muslim mob tried to cause disturbance and they hurled stones inside a temple.
"A Muslim mob tried to disturb the Garba function in Kheda's Undhela village last night and pelted stones. Sarpanch's car was damaged and stones were also hurled inside the temple," said Nadiad DSP. He noted that there were around 150-200 people and 43 of them has been identified and booked.
"There were 150-200 people, including women, in the mob. Sarpanch has identified 43 people and gave a complaint against them. Around 10-11 accused have been detained for interrogation," he added.
Notably, in another incident reported in Gujarat during Navratri, forty people were arrested after a communal clash broke out at a vegetable market in Vadodara's Savli town on Monday. "40 arrested. A Muslim festival is coming up, owing to which a local group had tied their religious flag on an electronic pole. There is a temple nearby," said Vadodra rural police PR Patel.
