Banaras Hindu University's PhD student dies after performing yoga in Varanasi [Video]

The deceased Anubha Upadhyay was reportedly on a fast yesterday. While performing yoga on Tuesday morning, her condition deteriorated and she fainted. She was immediately rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Varanasi: A Banaras Hindu University (BHU) PhD student died after performing yoga in Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Anubha Upadhyay, a research scholar from psychology department.
It is said that Anubha was on a fast yesterday. While performing yoga on Tuesday morning, her condition deteriorated and she was rushed to hospital. However, she succumbed during the treatment.
Anubha lived in Working Women’s Hostel. She also reported did a Diploma from Psychology Department at the university.
Initially, it was alleged that she died under mysterious circumstances. But later it turned out that she fainted during yoga. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. While performing yoga aroun 7 am, she stars bleeding from her nostrils and then she fainted.
Rare disease
Doctors said she was suffering from a rare disease called Vasculitis (Takayasu arteritis). The disease involves inflammation of the blood vessels.
Anubha’s body has been kept in the mortuary of BHU Hospital itself. His parents have been informed. It is being told that Anubha has obtained BA and MA degree from Gorakhpur University.
