A team of international footballers, including legendary Portuguese player Luis Figo, participated in a zero-gravity football match at 20,230 feet to set a new Guinness World Record.
The players put their skills to the test at a height no football game has ever been played before.
The match was played inside a plane specially outfitted with an onboard football field. The flight took a parabolic path to simulate the zero-gravity environment for the game.
It has now set the world record for the 'Highest Altitude Game of Football on a Parabolic Flight'.
Figo, who was part of the red team, made his presence felt by scoring a goal. He found the next with a bicycle lick while floating in the air.
The yellow team equalised but it was the Red team that found the net again to win the match 2-1.

I have played in stadiums where the electric atmosphere sparks emotions that cuts across cultures and nationalities; this was the exact same experience I had playing this beautiful game at 20,000 feet above the ground with a group of fearless football fanatics taking their passion for the sport to unprecedented heights," Figo said in the news release.
