Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has opened at Rs 14.11 crore at ticket windows. The film's business on Day 1 at the box office bettered those done by Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey and Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi.

It seems that Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has finally broken the dry spell of Bollywood in recent times. While films like KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR - both dubbed in Hindi - did exceptional business at ticket windows, Bollywood flicks like Runway 34, Heropanti 2 and Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey failed to earn double figures at the box office on Day 1 at theatres.
However, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer horror comedy has been well received by the fans. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has ended Bollywood's dry box office spell, opening at Rs 14.11 crore at ticket windows.

Film critic and Trade analyst Taran Adarsh earlier today shared the film's business on Day 1 at the box office and revealed that it has done the highest business in 2022, bettering those done by Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey and Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi. While Bachchhan Paandey raked in Rs 13.25 crore, Alia Bhatt starrer critically acclaimed Gangubai Kathiawadi earned Rs 10.50 on the day of release.

In fact, Kartik has single handedly delivered a mass family entertainer that the audiences are raving about. With such a massive opening in a post pandemic period, not only has the young superstar delivered the biggest opening of Bollywood for 2022, but has also beat his own records as it is also his own highest opener.

However, the day 1 business of Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is nowhere near to that of the dubbed versions of KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR. While the Yash starrer raked in Rs 53.95 crore on Day 1, Ram Charan and Jr NTR's RRR earned Rs 20.07 crore.
Earlier today Taran Adarsh had tweeted that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has collected Rs 14.11 crore despite the low ticket pricing. The film, which has been directed by Annes Bazmee, is a standalone sequel to Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The sequel also stars Tabu in an engaging pivotal role.
