Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film Jawan created a storm on social media after Shah Rukh Khan dropped the first look from the film. Ever since the announcement of Jawan, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the film, which also marks SRK's first collaboration with Nayanthara and Atlee.
Now, according to the latest reports, Jawan's streaming rights have been bought by none other than Netflix at a whopping price of Rs 120 crore. However, there is no confirmation on the same.
BollywoodLife reported that the makers of Jawan seem to have locked a massive deal with Netflix.
India Today quoted trade analyst Akshaye Rathi on what he feels on the deal, he said, "Honestly, it's too early and tough to tell what price have the streaming rights of Jawan been sold for. There is an assumption that it would have gone to Netflix like all other movies of Red Chillies Entertainment. They seem to have ongoing partnership with Netflix. However, it's too early to really tell what price they have gone for. But yes, a set-up like that where you have got Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee coming together for an absolute ride of entertainer, I wouldn't be surprised if it fetches a phenomenal astronomical price."
During a recent Instagram live, SRK shared, "There is still a long way to go. There is not much I can tell you about Jawan except the fact that I am having a great time as an actor. And Atlee, the director, it is a different kind of film. Everybody has seen his work. He makes outstanding mass oriented films, again a genre I have never done. So, I wanted to try my hands on it. And I think me and Atlee have good chemistry. I bring in some (to the film), he brings in some. Whatever we have done of Jawan is thrilling and exciting.”
Directed by Atlee, Jawan will hit the theatre on June 2, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Apart from Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in Pathaan. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, opposite Taapsee Pannu.
