RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that the world is full of contradictions but managing dualities will only come from India. He said the whole world looks towards India for managing diversity. Speaking at an event in Nagpur, the RSS chief said there have been many historical events that were never told to us nor taught in a proper way.
For instance, he said, the place where Sanskrit grammar was born is not in India. "Did we ever ask a question why? he was quoted as saying by PTI. "It is chiefly because we first forgot our own wisdom and knowledge and later the land was conquered by foreign invaders who mainly came from the northwest region," he said.
Bhagwat said that "we unnecessarily gave importance to caste and other similar structures" and that the systems which were formed for work were used to create differences between people and communities. He said people have small differences in language, dress, and culture, but they need to have a mind that will see the big picture and not get stuck into these things.
"All languages in the country are national languages, all people from various caste are mine, we need to have such affection," he added.
Bhagwat hoists Tiranga at RSS headquarters
In a significant move, Bhagwat on Saturday hoisted the tricolour at the RSS headquarters as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. The RSS has so far hoisted only the saffron flag at its offices and this is probably for the first time the organisation has hoisted tricolour at its headquarters. This comes just a day after the RSS changes its diplay pictures (DPs) of its Facebook and Twitter accounts to Tiranga.
According to PTI, Nagpur district collector R Vimla visited the RSS headquarters during the day and presented Bhagwat with a national flag under the campaign.
In July this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign under which he urged the people to hoist Tiranga at their homes. However, Congress and other political parties objected to the move and said why not ask the RSS, the parent organisation of BJP, to hoist the flag at its office headquarters in Nagpur.
