The bond that a child shares with her grandmother is the most honest and precious bond. Not only does a granddaughter get pampered and spoilt, but the little girl is also guided through right and wrong, the importance of cultural and religious faith, and most importantly, the feeling of safety that a grandmother gives simply cannot be matched.
Mahesh Babu's mother Indira Devi breathed her last earlier this morning. The family gathered to pay their final respects to the matriarch and a video from the funeral has been going viral. The video sees Sitara sitting on her father's lap, getting consoled as she weeps.
Another video sees Sitara standing near her grandmother's body, being consoled by her mother Namrata Shirodkar. The video of Sitara crying inconsolably is extremely heartbreaking. Check them out here:

2022 has been a trying year for the Ghattamaneni family. Earlier this year, Mahesh lost his elder brother who passed away after suffering from a liver-related ailment.
Various celebrities from the Telugu film fraternity took to social media to pay their respects to Indira Devi and her family. Megastar Chiranjeevi wrote, "The news that Mrs. Indira Devi has passed away is very sad. Wishing the soul of the Mother Goddess to rest in peace, I express my deepest condolences to Superstar Krishna, brother Mahesh Babu, and all the family members."
We extended our condolence to the family and may Indira Devi's soul rest in peace!
