Viral video: Elephants charge at driver in Tamil Nadu, 'barbaric' behaviour by the man infuriates Twitter

In a now-viral video shared by IAS officer Surpiya Sahu, three elephants appeared to charge at an oncoming car after a reckless driver continued down a road until he got too close to them and attempted to turn around in a last-ditch effort. The clip, believed to be filmed in Hasanur, Tamil Nadu, shows the frustrated elephants trying to scare away “idiotic onlookers” so they could ensure safe passage for their young one across an elephant corridor in their habitat fragmented by the highway.Posting the viral video to Twitter, Sahu described the carelessness of the motorists as “totally unacceptable and barbaric behaviour”.
