R Madhavan’s maiden directorial venture Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has opened to rave reviews across the country. The glowing word of mouth is gradually translating into higher box office figures as the biopic of accomplished ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan has witnessed sizeable growth in the past few days.
Recently, during the screening of the Madhavan starrer at a Kolkata theatre, an unpleasant event transpired after the show was stopped midway. The situation escalated when a heated exchange took place between the theatre management and the irked audience members.
A video of the same was shared on Twitter by a fan who tagged Madhavan in the post. In the clip, a crowd can be seen complaining about the delay in the screening. “Why did Inox stop the show on your own during the #RocketryTheFilm movie @ActorMadhavan,” read the fan’s tweet.
Highlighting the issue, another user stated, "Couldn't even watch the climax of this film due to INOX's mistake. Even they did not refund the money. Shame on Swabhumi @INOXMovies."
The 3 Idiots actor took note of the matter and requested his admirers to act calmly. He replied, “There must have been a genuine reason and cause . Pls do be calm and show some love ppl. Humble request. The show will be in soon.all the love.”
Jointly produced by the banners Tricolour Films, Varghese Moolan Pictures, and 27th Entertainment, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect features Madhavan as Nambi Narayanan. The film narrates the inspiring story of how he fought the espionage charges levied against him.
Since its release, the biopic has garnered praise from several celebrities including Rajinikanth and Hrithik Roshan.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which has cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya, hit the theatres in Hindi, English, and Tamil along with the dubbed versions in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
