Political Row Erupts After Centre's Decision To Mark The 17th Of Sept As The Hyderabad Liberation Day

As per the latest news on Times Now, chaos erupted after the Centre's decision to mark 17th September as the Hyderabad Liberation day after All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, now Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has said that September 17 will be rather be observed as the Telengana National Integration Day. Earlier it was Owaisi who wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah demanding a change in the event. He said that the struggle of the people of the erstwhile Hyderabad against colonialism and autocracy are symbols of National Integration rather than merely a case of Liberation.
