A 24-year-old bloke has set a new Guinness World Record after he travelled on slopes for 12 hours, covering a distance of almost 1,000,000 feet. And he didn't walk, he went downhill on a locally made snowboard.

Myles Silverman set the world record in a day by making 56 runs on Sugarloaf Mountain's Narrow Gauge trail in the US state of Maine.
He now has the title of the greatest vertical distance snowboarded in 12 hours.

He now has the title of the greatest vertical distance snowboarded in 12 hours.

By now boarding a distance of nearly 1,00,000 vertical feet, he beat the previous world record of 62,335 feet and 11 inches, set by Keith Hayes in 2017.

His next aim is to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

"I think it was probably one of the most fun times I've had snowboarding. Like, it brought out a love for snowboarding for me. Especially in the morning when I had the sunrise. It was warm out, and [I had] Narrow Gauge to myself. So, I thought that was a super cool thing," Silverman told a local TV station.
