Cattle Smuggling Case: CBI Freezes Financial Assets Worth 16.97 Crore Of TMC Leader Anubrata Mondal

According to officials, the CBI has blocked financial assets worth Rs 16.97 crore that are reportedly owned by TMC politician Anubrata Mondal and his family in association with a case of cattle smuggling across the Indo-Bangladesh border. According to them, the fixed deposits were found by the agency during its ongoing investigation into the matter. Mondal was detained by the agency last Thursday after failing to appear twice in three days before the central probe agency as planned. According to the sources, the CBI has claimed that Vikas Mishra, the brother of fugitive TMC politician Vinay Mishra, and Mondal protected people connected to suspected cattle smuggler Enamul Haq who used to purchase animals at a market in Ilambazar. #sukanyamondal #anubratamondal #englishnews
