A force to reckon with, Alia Bhatt is at her best game right now. The Gully Boy star is gearing up for her Hollywood debut after delivering some of the most incredible films Bollywood has ever had to witness. Heart Of Stone, starring Gal Gadot, the actress's first Hollywood production, has wrapped its filming. Alia Bhatt discussed her experience working on the movie at a Darlings event that was recently held in Delhi. For the first time, the actress talked about it candidly.
The actress said "it was an amazing experience" to work on her first Hollywood film. That’s not to say she wasn’t initially nervous. After all, it was a brand new experience for her, but you know how massively talented the woman is.
Alia revealed during the event that she was leaving everything behind to experience the West. "I didn't even take my team along. I went all alone. It was a completely new team and action crew. This is my first action film. They took a lot of care of me. Whenever I needed daal chawal, they got it for me. They made me feel at home. I got to learn a lot. But at the same time, I felt there was not much change. What we do here (in Bollywood) is the same there. It is just a different language," revealed Alia.
Alia continued to describe her experience, mentioning how she initially became confused when she had to talk in English. "I am so used to speaking in Hindi, I remember, that threw me off a little bit. But then, I got used to it and I had a blast. I am grateful that I got this experience. Gal Gadot is such an icon and an inspiration. She is also producing that film. So, we had a lot in common and a lot to talk about. And she was lovely, warm and possibly the most beautiful energy I have come across.”
The next film Alia will appear in will be Darlings, starring Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah. The movie will debut on Netflix on August 5, 2022. The actress' next movie, Brahmastra, starring her husband Ranbir Kapoor, will be released on September 9. The film's director is Ayan Mukerji.
Alia Bhatt also recently wrapped Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani's shoot. The actress has been paired with Ranveer Singh in the Karan Johar directorial. It is scheduled for release on February 10, 2023.
