Ajay Devgn and Suriya were honoured with the Best Actor trophy at the 68th National Film Awards ceremony, which was held on Friday, September 30. While Ajay received the prestigious award for his performance in the 2020 blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Suriya took home the trophy for his act in the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru.
The two superstars met each other at the 68th National Film Awards and also struck a pose for the camera. Later, Ajay took to social media to share a photo with Suriya, while heaping praise on him. In his post, the Drishyam actor mentioned that he has a deep respect for Suriya’s talent.

Meanwhile, talking about the awards ceremony, veteran actress Asha Parekh received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest film honour. The 79-year-old actress was honoured with the award for the year 2020.
The 68th National Film Awards were delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the work front
Ajay has a couple of films lined up for release in the upcoming weeks. He will first be seen in Indra Kumar’s Thank God alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh. The fantasy comedy film is slated to release on October 25 and will be clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu.
Post Thank God, Ajay will appear in Drishyam 2, which will hit theatres on November 18.
