Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram is having a dream run at the box-office. While the film has grossed over Rs. 200 crore worldwide and still counting, it has now breached the 100 crore club in Tamil Nadu. It’s the third fastest film to achieve the feat in just a week after Vijay’s Sarkar and Bigil.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, which stars Kamal Haasan in his most successful comeback, is on a box-office rampage and there’s no stopping the film’s phenomenal run. Having already minted over Rs. 200 crore worldwide, it was revealed on Friday that the film has collected over Rs. 100 crore from Tamil Nadu alone.
Industry tracker Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to announce that Vikram has collected over Rs. 100 crore from Tamil Nadu alone.
“At the end of the 1st week, #Vikram has joined the TN ₹ 100 crs gross club. A remarkable achievement (sic),” his tweet read.

The entire team is overjoyed with the film’s success. On Thursday, Kamal Haasan met the media in Chennai and said he’s thrilled with the response to the movie. He said that the success will only motivate them to work harder on their next collaboration.
Vikram has emerged as the biggest grossing film in Kamal Haasan’s career. It is also his first Rs. 200 crore grosser. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan gifted a Lexus car to director Lokesh Kanagaraj for making Vikram a huge success on Tuesday.
Sharing a picture of the new car, Lokesh thanked Kamal for the gesture.

The film, which was dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, features Kamal Haasan in a role he originally played in the 1986 film of the same name. He returns as former agent Vikram of the coveted Black Squad which used to work for the Indian government.
In addition, a sequel is in the works as well and the star made the revelation about the same himself and revealed that it will mostly revolve around his confrontation with Rolex aka Suriya.
