Two terrorists carry out suicide attack on Army base near Rajouri

Srinagar: Two terrorists carried out a suicide attack on an Army company operating base in Pargal in the Darhal area of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported on Wednesday. Both terrorists have been killed while four soldiers also lost their lives. The area has been cordoned off and additional forces have been dispatched to the base.
The Indian Army officials told the news agency that one Officer was also among the injured in the terrorist attack and had been rushed for medical treatment. 16 Corps Commander Lt Gen Manjinder Singh is constantly monitoring the situation on the ground, the officials said.
Subedar Rajendra Prasad, Rifleman Manoj Kumar and Rifleman Lakshmanan D lost their lives while neutralising two terrorists who carried out the suicide attack on the Army company operating base, 25 km from Rajouri.
Rifleman Nishant Malik who was injured in the gunfight succumbed to injuries later in the evening.
This comes soon after three LeT terrorists were neutralised by the security forces after an hours-long encounter in Budgam. One of the killed terrorists was involved in the killing of Rahul Bhat and Amreen Bhat.
"Terrorist Lateef Rather @Abdullah, killer of Rahul Bhat and Amreen Bhat among the three killed terrorists. He was involved in several terror crime cases including several civilian killings and atrocities," the ADGP Kashmir said after the operation was over.
