Ratan Tata has announced an undisclosed seed investment into a startup called Goodfellows, which offers companionship to senior citizens as a service. The industrialist has backed over 50 startups since retiring from the helm of the salt-to-software Tata Group.At the launch of Goodfellows, Ratan Tata said, “You do not know what it is like to be lonely until you spend time alone wishing for companionship."The founder of Goodfellows is Shantanu Naidu, around 30 years old, and also the general manager of Mr. Ratan Tata’s office.
