Pakistani musician plays Indian national anthem on his rabab as 'gift' for India's Independence Day

Noted Pakistani musician Siyal Khan has gone viral in the past for playing popular Bollywood songs on his rabab. On the eve of India's Independence Day this year, the artist presented a beautiful gift to the country - an instrumental rendition of India's national anthem. Khan posted a video in which he was seen playing Jana Gana Mana on his rabab. He shared the clip on social media and captioned it: "Here’s a gift for my viewers across the border." Rabab, or rubab, is one of the national musical instruments of Afghanistan, also commonly used in Pakistan. It is a stringed instrument with a skin-covered resonator that can be bowed or plucked.
