Now, the actor is set to launch the trailer of Laal Singh Chaddha and for that too, he has picked a special date.
The actor has decided to cash in on the cricketer fever on May 29 which is the final day of IPL 2022 and launch the trailer of the film. As a cine buff and cricket enthusiast, you are in for quite an interesting and happening day on May 29.
Speaking of Laal Singh Chaddha, the film stars Aamir Khan in the titular role whereas Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead. It also marks the debut of Naga Chaitanya in Bollywood and sees Mona Singh in a pivotal role.
A source close to the development revealed, "The trailer will stream live on television on Star Sports during the second strategic timeout of the finale match to be held on 29th May creating a revolution and new benchmark in the ad and marketing world.
The source added, "This is the first time ever that a film is going to have a grand trailer launch on the world television platform and sports world."
For the unversed, Laal Singh Chaddha is based on Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump. As per media reports, Aamir will apparently be arranging for a special screening for Hanks. The film is set to hit the theatres on August 11, 2022, after being delayed multiple times first because of COVID-19 and then later due to the incompletion of the VFX segment
