Mephedrone worth more than 1 lakh seized from Pune youth trying to sell it

Pune: Anti Narcotics squad arrested Pune's youth on Tuesday for allegedly selling a banned drug Mephedrone worth rupees 1, 04, 55. The first information report is been filed in Sahkarnagar police station under the NDPS (Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances) Act. Currently accused is in Sahakarnagar jail, the court has granted custody till 8th October.
The young man named Rohan Kaluram Khude (26 years age) is a resident of Parvati Darshan, Pune. PI Vinakay Gaikwad, Anti Narcotic informed, "Rohan used to work in a fabric store. He was in need of finances for some medical treatment. Hence, he got involved in drug supply. He used to obtain the banned drug from a Mumbai-based peddler. He doesn't know the exact details of the peddler. During the investigation, he revealed once they met at Labaug."
Rohan was trapped by the Anti-Narcotics squad of Crime Branch Pune. On the initial inputs received by constable Sachin Malve, an arrest was planned. Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad, Assistant Police Inspector Shailaja Jankar and the team sent a fake customer and confirmed that the accused was involved in the illegal activity of selling a banned drug. Followed to they were informed that the accused is coming to Mahatma Phule Chowk near Raut Bagh. He was arrested and 6 gms 970 mgs Mephedrone worth more than a Lakh was seized.
Court has granted custody till 08th October. When asked about the drug peddler police informed Mirror Now, "Accused doesn't possess more information. A contact number has also been found on him. Sahakarnagar police are investigating the matter. And seized material has been sent to Chemical Analyst. Those reports may take more than a month."
