Tamil versatile actor Chiyaan Vikram’s forthcoming project Cobra is back with a major update. The special news is that Tamil actor and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin will also be a part of the film as he acquired Tamil Nadu’s distribution rights for Cobra under his production house Red Giant Movies. Isn’t this exciting!!
The makers of the film, 7 Screen Studios, have announced the news by releasing a motion video on their official Twitter page along with a caption saying– ‘#Cobra gets bigger ! Cobra stars Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. And the KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty will play the female lead in the film which marks the Kollywood debut for this talented actress.
Apart from the lead cast, Cobra also features many star actors including Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Padmapriya, Mohammad Ali Baig, Kaniha, Mrinalini Ravi, Meenakshi, and K.S. Ravi Kumar in supporting roles.
Tamil young filmmaker R. Ajay Gnanamuthu who began his career with successful films like Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal is directing this flick. According to the filmmaker, this action thriller drama is wrapping up the shooting schedules and is currently focusing on post-production works.
Meanwhile, S. S. Lalith Kumar under his own banner Seven Screen Studios is bankrolling this flick while Udhayanidhi Stalin will distribute the film under his production house of Red Giant Movies.
On the other hand, the Oscar-winning music composer A. R. Rahman is working on the film’s original score and soundtrack while Harish Kannan is handling the cinematography and Bhuvan Srinivasan is taking care of the editing works of the film.
Another special news about Cobra is that the former Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan is making his filmy debut in which he will be seen in a special cameo.
Shot and released in Tamil, Cobra will hit the theater on 11 August 2022.
