Making the country proud again, Alia Bhatt was just awarded 2022 TIME 100 Impact awards. This is another victory in a year where she has experienced numerous breakthroughs, both professionally and personally. Alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor, Alia most recently starred in the blockbuster movie Brahmastra, one of her numerous successes this year.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, which she starred in to kickstart the year, was a resounding hit. She next appeared in a cameo in SS Rajamouli's RRR, which has a good possibility of earning an Oscar nomination in 2023. In her first home production, Darlings, which was well received, Alia followed it up with another strong performance. She even tied the knot with her longtime beau Ranbir Kapoor and recently announced her pregnancy.

Talking about India and diversity in her acceptance speech, Alia also mentioned her little baby in the belly in the cutest way there is. She said, “I am immensely proud to be here tonight as the representative of my country - a country that has built both me and my career. India is a country that, at its core, values diversity above anything else and it’s a song that I hope to sing all over the world.”
She added, “And lastly, when it comes to making an impact, I hope that I can continue to do so in whatever way possible, but for now, tonight, this award has genuinely made an impact on me…me and my little one, who has relentlessly kicked me through this speech.”
Isn’t she the sweetest?
Heart of Stone, in which Alia Bhatt co-stars with Gal Gadot, will mark her Hollywood debut. She will next be seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, in which she co-stars with Ranveer Singh.
